Framing the Problem

Focusing on 'who' and 'why'

Defining the problem to be solved sets the foundation for the entire product development process. Framing the problem correctly involves identifying the problem, understanding the context in which it occurs, defining the target audience, and writing a hypothesis of the desired outcomes of a solution.

This sample template from our Optimal Product Management course helps product managers document the problem they have investigated and develop a strong problem statement.
